Conferences & Events

Use event information carefully.

Conferences, webinars, symposiums, and community events can help readers follow current work on alexithymia, emotional awareness, interoception, support, and related clinical or research topics.

Before relying on an event listing

Use the official event page when checking whether an event is current, relevant, and accessible.

  • the official event name and link;
  • dates, location, and whether online attendance is available;
  • the organizing society or host organization;
  • submission, registration, or accessibility notes when relevant and verified;
  • a plain-language reason the event may matter for alexithymia, emotion research, support, education, or related clinical/research communities.

Read cautiously

Treat event descriptions as invitations to check details, not as endorsements. Be careful with:

  • standing conference names without a current official event page;
  • stale calendars from earlier years;
  • claims that an event is “best,” “recommended,” or clinically useful without evidence;
  • sponsor-style language or copied promotional descriptions;
  • broad category lists that do not explain why an event is relevant.
